Overview:

A Stainless Steel Blind Flange (BLRF/BLFF) is a solid, circular steel plate featuring bolt holes around its outer perimeter but no center opening. It is designed to be bolted to another flange to terminate flow, isolate a piping section, or provide an accessible entry point for line inspection, maintenance, or future pipeline extensions.

Key Features & Construction:

- Solid Construction: Complete flat or raised center disc capable of withstanding full system line pressure.

- Easy Access: Unlike permanent welded caps, a blind flange can be unbolted and removed for maintenance or system expansion.

- Common Material Grades:

  * SS 304 / 304L: Standard grade providing excellent general corrosion resistance, suitable for water, food, and general industrial applications.

  * SS 316 / 316L: High-grade stainless steel containing molybdenum for enhanced resistance to chlorides, chemicals, and marine environments.

- Common Flange Facings:

  * Raised Face (RF): Concentrates gasket compression for standard-to-high pressure seals.

  * Flat Face (FF): Used in lower-pressure systems or when mating with brittle equipment.
